Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad is widely known at home and abroad as a renowned economist. He was the founder-Chairman of Bangladesh Unnayan Parishad (BUP). He is currently the Chairman of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and Dhaka School of Economics (DScE). He was the elected President of Bangladesh Economic Association (BEA) for three consecutive terms (2002-2010). Dr. Ahmed is also known for his expertise in global climate change affairs. He has represented Bangladesh in many international meetings and conferences on climate Change. Dr. Ahmad has been relentlessly working on booth theory and practice of sustainable development. He has to his credit 35 books and over 250 articles asauthor, co-author, editor or co-editor, published at home and abroad both in English and Bengali Languages.
