Author Biography

Masrufa Ayesha Nusrat, born and raised in Bangladesh, was educated at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, University of Dhaka and University of Nottingham in the UK. Celebration & Other Stories is her first book of translation, and has a number of other translations forthcoming. Translation for her has been a labour of love. She is Assistant Professor of English at East West University in Dhaka. A busy mother of a terrible three, she is also a connoisseur of fine arts, music and literature. She also enjoys travelling.
